A Guide to San­ti­ago’s Airport

Do you know what's a real bummer about flying? Getting stuck at departure gates due to delays, and realising there’s nothing but a couple of cafés serving stale pastries and weak tea. So, here's a heads-up on the services, restaurants, and shops you can expect to find when flying out of Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago.

On Arrival

  • The domestic and international terminals are a short walk from one another (about 5 minutes). They are connected by a raised wooden walkway, so don’t panic if you accidentally arrive at the wrong terminal.
  • There's a holiday inn located between the two terminals.
  • A complimentary wheelchair service is available for anyone who needs assistance with mobility. An online form must be submitted 48 hours before you are due to arrive at the airport.

Restaurants, Shops and Services in the International Terminal

Before Security

The following restaurants, shops and services are available in the public hall, which is accessible to the public and passengers.

  • There are self-service check-in machines where you can print boarding passes and luggage tags.
  • Bag drop lanes are available to help speed up the check-in process but there are plenty of staff around if you need assistance.
  • There is a money exchange and ATMs.
  • There are toilets.
  • Anka serves Chilean food 24 hours a day.
  • La Maestranza is a sandwich and burger bar. It’s open 24hrs.
  • La Picá is a café that serves breakfast, drinks, sandwiches, and burgers. It’s open 24hrs.
  • Bon Bon offers drinks, sandwiches and snacks. It’s open 24hrs.
  • Britt Café Bakery stocks drinks, sandwiches and snacks. It’s open 24hrs.
  • Maxi K is a convenience store that sells snacks, baked goods, and drinks. It’s open 24hrs. It’s located near arrivals.

Restaurants and Cafés After Security

  • Ruby Tuesday is a casual restaurant serving an American menu, featuring burgers, ribs and steaks. Located near the E departure gates. It’s open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
  • California Pizza Kitchen is open from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.
  • Kaki is a wok bar, serving a variety of Asian food. It’s in the Emporio Gourmet food court and is open from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
  • La Cabrera Al Paso specialises in steaks, burgers and hot sandwiches. It’s open 24hrs.
  • Lulupok serves Hawaiian poke bowls. It’s located in the Emporio Gourmet food court and is open 24 hours a day.
  • Uncle Fletch is a burger bar with beer on tap. It’s located in the Emporio Gourmet food court and is open 24 hours a day.
  • Bartolomé is a Chilean seafood bar. It’s open from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.
  • McDonald’s serves their fast food menu 24 hours a day.
  • Loyola serves traditional Chilean food.
  • Farine is a coffee shop serving hot drinks and baked goods. It’s open 24hrs.
  • Juan Valdez is an international coffee shop that serves a range of drinks, sandwiches and baked goods. It’s open 24hrs.
  • Eric Kayser is a French bakery selling sandwiches, cakes and pastries. Located near the E departure gates. It’s open 24hrs.
  • Britt Café Bakery stocks drinks, sandwiches and snacks. It’s open 24hrs.
  • Yogen Früz sells artisanal frozen yoghurt. It’s in the Emporio Gourmet food court and is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
  • Starbucks has two locations, and both are open 24 hours a day.
  • Deli & Cia sells sandwiches, wraps, salads, snacks, and drinks. It’s open 24hrs and is located near the E departure gates.
  • Krossbar serves pizza and beer 24 hours a day. There’s one in the Emporio Gourmet food court and one near the C departure gates.
  • Crêpas and Café serves crepes and a selection of drinks.
  • Toro Gourmet Burgers is a 24-hour burger bar.
  • Dominó serves burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, salads and soft drinks. It’s located near the D departure gates and it’s open 24hrs.

Shops After Security

  • Santiago Duty-Free sells the usual alcohol, fragrances and food items found in duty free. It’s open 24hrs.
  • La Fête sells quality chocolates and confectionery. It’s open from 6:30 am to 11:45 pm.
  • Thinking Chile sells gifts, souvenirs and apparel. It’s located near the E departure gates. It’s open from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm.
  • Sunglass Hut is open from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.
  • Sol Alpaca sells apparel and accessories made from alpaca wool. It’s open from 6:00 am to 11:30 pm.
  • Ray-Ban is located near the C departure gates. It’s open from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.
  • Samsonite - Tumi stocks a range of suitcases, backpacks and travel accessories. It’s open from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm.
  • Plaza Chile sells souvenirs, crafts, bottled drinks and snacks.
  • Casa Chile sells souvenirs and gifts.
  • Jewelry Me stocks jewellery and accessories. It’s open from 5:30 am to 11:00 pm.
  • Salar Sol sells snacks and gifts. It’s located near the D departure gates.
  • Artesanías de Chile is a private, non-profit organisation. It promotes traditional Chilean crafts, runs workshops, works with local communities and supports independent artisans. It stocks a selection of goods made by various Chilean artists. It’s open from 8:30 am to 12:00 am, Monday to Saturday and from 9:30 am to 12:00 am on Sundays.
  • Britt Shop Chile sells souvenirs, crafts, bottled drinks and snacks. There are two locations, one by the E departure gates and one by the C departure gates. They’re open 24hrs.
  • La Cara del Vino sells a large selection of wine. It’s open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm every day, except Sunday.

Services After Security

  • There is free wifi throughout the terminal.
  • There are ATMs and a money exchange.
  • There are charging points in the terminal.
  • There are toilets located throughout the terminal.
  • There is a nursing room.
  • There is a VIP lounge, Primeclass Pacífico, who sell a 3-hour access pass for £45.
  • There aren’t any water-filling stations in the terminal.

Before Security

  • Cinnabon serves its classic cinnamon buns and drinks 24 hours a day.
  • Dunkin’ Donuts sells sandwiches, drinks and a variety of doughnuts. It’s open 24hrs.
  • Britt Shop Chile sells souvenirs, crafts, bottled drinks and snacks. It’s open 24hrs.
  • Loyola serves traditional Chilean food. It's open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
  • Danés is a casual restaurant serving traditional and modern Chilean food. It’s open 24hrs.
  • Cervecería del Norte is a 24hr bar, serving alcohol, soft drinks, sandwiches and other bar food.
  • Brioche Doreé sells sandwiches and baked goods to go. It’s open 24hrs.
  • There are ATMs and toilets

Renovations are happening in the public hall, so additional restaurants and services are coming. A new Starbucks was the only addition we could confirm.

Restaurants and Cafés After Security

  • Starbucks has 3 locations and offers their usual menu of drinks, snacks and light meals. The one at gate 19, level 3 is only open between 4:50 am and 8:30 pm but the other two locations are open 24hrs.
  • Dunkin’ Donuts sells sandwiches, drinks and a variety of doughnuts. It’s open 24hrs.
  • McDonald’s serves their fast food menu 24 hours a day.
  • Briciole Bar is a café offering sandwiches, drinks, light meals and snacks. It’s open from 4:00 am to 9:00 pm.
  • Deli & Cia sells sandwiches, wraps, salads, snacks, and drinks. It’s open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Bakery & Co offers a range of simple meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s open 24hrs.
  • Entre Birras is a bar that serves drinks and light meals 24 hours a day.
  • Pilsn is a popular beer and sandwich bar. It’s open from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.
  • Tamarugo is a bar and café that serves breakfast, pizza, and sandwiches. Its opening hours are weekdays from 5:00 am to 7:30pm, Saturday from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday from 8:00 am to 6:00pm.

Shops After Security

  • La Fête sells quality chocolates and confectionery. It’s open from 6:30 am to 11:45 pm.
  • Porche Design sells a range of branded apparel and accessories. Its opening hours are weekdays from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm and weekends from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
  • Victoria’s Secret stocks a small range of lingerie, cosmetics and accessories. It’s open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.
  • Sunglass Hut sells a wide range of sunglasses. It’s open from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm.
  • Andesgear has a good selection of outdoor apparel and accessories. Its opening hours are weekdays from 6:00am to 8:00 pm and weekends from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm.
  • Swarovski is an international jewellery store. It’s open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.
  • Britt Shop Chile sells souvenirs, crafts, bottled drinks and snacks. The store at gate 18 is open from 5:30 am to 11:00 pm and the store at gate 27 is open from 5:30 am to 12:00 am.
  • El Mercadito Gourmet stocks a range of drinks, sandwiches and snacks to take away. It’s open 24hrs.
  • Maxi K is a convenience store that sells snacks, baked goods, and hot and cold drinks. It’s open 24hrs.
  • Bath & Body Works stocks soaps, fragrances, lotions, and candles. It’s open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.
  • The Body Shop sells cosmetics, skincare, and perfume. It’s open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.
  • Santiago Duty-Free sells the usual alcohol, fragrances and food items found in duty free. It’s open 24hrs.

Services After Security

  • There are two VIP lounges. The Pacific Club sells a 6-hour access pass for £37, and Primeclass Pacífico sells a 3-hour access pass for £45.
  • There aren’t any water-filling stations in the terminal.
